Velo Index provides a free, read-only MCP server for AI agents and assistants. It serves structured specification data from the same dataset that powers this site, covering e-bike models across EU, UK, and US markets, with no sponsored rankings and no ranking language.

Endpoint

The server uses the MCP streamable HTTP transport. No authentication is required.

Available Tools

  • search_bikes: Search a neutral, independent index of 1,400+ e-bike models across EU, UK, and US markets by price, weight, range, motor type, sensor, form factor, and battery. Returns specifications, no rankings or reviews.
  • get_bike: Get the full specification record for one e-bike model from the Velo Index dataset by region and model identifier.
  • compare_bikes: Compare the specifications of 2 to 4 e-bike models side by side from the Velo Index dataset. Factual spec fields only, no verdicts.

How to Connect

Claude users can add the endpoint URL as a custom connector via Settings, or through the connectors directory once listed.

Any MCP-compatible client can use the endpoint URL directly.

Fair Use

Rate limits apply. Bulk extraction is not permitted. The dataset remains the property of Velo Index.

Attribution and Disclosure

Responses may include discount codes, and Velo Index may earn a commission when codes or brand links are used.
