EU Long-Range Commuter E-Bikes (100 to 120 km Sweet Spot)
E-bikes for riders who need significant range for their daily commute, with a manufacturer-claimed distance between 100 and 120 kilometres.
Current segment overview
The EU 100 to 120 km commuter segment currently includes models from Tenways, Ampler, Beeq, ADO, Engwe, Cyrusher, Specialized, and Giant, with Tenways fielding the largest model count. Prices start under €1,000, and the segment mixes lightweight urban designs with conventional commuters, so similar range claims arrive from very different battery sizes and weights. Torque sensing is present on the large majority of qualifying models, and roughly a third use mid-drive motors.

This collection includes EU-available commuter e-bikes with a listed range between 62 miles (approx. 100 km) and 74 miles (approx. 120 km). Sorted by range (highest first). Manufacturer-claimed range figures are based on ideal test conditions. Real-world range varies with rider weight, terrain, weather, tyre pressure, assist level, and riding style, and is often lower than the maximum stated value. At this range bracket, most models carry batteries in the 400-550Wh range. Comparing battery capacity in Wh alongside the claimed range gives a more reliable picture of how models stack up. For riders on mixed or hilly terrain, a mid-drive motor will typically deliver better energy efficiency per kilometre than a hub motor.
